Poppies

I’ve just completed another pattern for the next Spoonflower contest. The contest is for fabric designs inspired by Art Deco. I started by using this woodcut….it’s actually wood cut into shapes using a band saw. I inked each piece separately then printed them together.

I scanned my woodcut into the computer and started to create a pattern. Since we were limited to 4 colors(including white) for the contest I limited the background to one color:
