Before & After
February 16, 2011
I am excited to share my first BEFORE and AFTER. I’ve always loved these vintage tier lamp shades but I’m not so crazy about the muted brown colors. I bought a small tier lamp shade on ebay and removed the pink plastic. It was a bit worn and cracked. I printed a new pink pattern and attached it to the wire form. I love the results!

That is completely fabulous!
Thanks! I’m working on another….
Would you mind writing a post about what types of ink you use when block printing on fabric?
I really love the way your work looks, very clean and fun. I’m experimenting with some vintage wood blocks, and I’m interested in being able to wash finish products, like table linens.
The inks I use are oil based block printing inks from Daniel Smith (http://www.danielsmith.com/). I’ll write a post about my process but until then I thought I’d let you know the type of ink I use.
Thank you! Have you ever made silicone molds of your blocks?
I have never heard of making silicone molds of my woodblocks. Is there information out there about it?
